GALA Cricket Club was delighted to host two international T20 matches as Scotland Wildcats Under 21s defeated Germany at Meigle Park last Friday.
The club was chosen to host the matches as a result of a series of facility improvements at the ground in the last year, with Scotland - who included Gala's own Charis Scott in their line up - winning both games.
Kenny Paterson of Gala CC said: "Thank you to all the volunteers who helped before the game and on the day itself, from preparing the wicket and ground, to ensuring all players, officials and spectators were well fed and watered.
"Thanks also to CricketScotland for choosing us for these two games, as well as for the Scotland Wildcats A team v Durham game earlier in season. We hope to host more representative games in the future."
