STRUGGLING Selkirk has kept its promise to donate half of the gate at a recent charity match to the Margaret Kerr Unit.
The cash-strapped Yarrow Park club hosted Manchester City Legends at the end of July.
And this week former chairman Craig Douglas, who helped organise the match, handed over a cheque for £200 to the region's only palliative care unit.
Mr Douglas told us: "Despite the poor weather we still had a fair crowd down to watch the likes of Colin Hendry and Peter Barnes.
"We are extremely grateful to Manchester City for their continued support."
The rain-soaked match was won by Selkirk Legends with the help of three former Hibernian stars - Mickey Weir, Darren Dods and Gordon Hunter - 4-0.
