CYCLISTS from all over the country are expected to wheel into Hawick next month for a fundraising sportive.
Hawick Community Pump Track has organised the event on Saturday, September 16 to help raise funds.
As well as a 50-mile route, which takes in Bonchester Bridge, Denholm, Ancrum, Ashkirk and Roberton, organisers have also planned a shorter 25-mile route, which also starts and finishes at The Border Club in Hawick.
Entry to the sportive is only £15 with riders enjoying support throughout the routes, and all finishers entitled to free refreshments.
Rachel Megahy from Hawick Community Pump Track told us: "Entry is only £15 and all proceeds go to the pump track for the kids.
"As well as a choice of two routes there will be a support vehicle, great food stops along the way, and refreshments and a meal at the finish.
"What's not to like?"
The sportive is sponsored by Bannerman Burke Properties.
Entries, which can be made at www.entrycentral.com/bbsportive, close on September 1.
Riders can sign on from 8.30am at the Border Club with the sportive starting at 10.30am.
