SELKIRK FC have sacked their manager following a row over cancelled training.
Steve Forrest, who is currently in Majorca, was fired by the Lowland League club on Wednesday morning.
Selkirk chairman Ross Anderson told the Border Telegraph: "We would like to thank Steve for all of his efforts.
"Things have come to a head with training.
"It is unfortunate as the team have been doing well so far this season.
"But we are a semi-professional team and we need a semi-professional approach."
Forrest took over at Selkirk when they bottom of the Lowland League almost 30 months ago.
Amongst his biggest achievements was landing the signature of former Scotland striker Garry O'Connor.
Selkirk currently sit in seventh in the Lowland League with games in hand.
They face Gretna on Saturday.
And the club's Under 20s are due to play Ayr United in the Scottish Youth Cup on Sunday.
