A SHAUN Henderson double takes Gordon into the Waddell Cup semi-finals to face Berwickshire rivals Duns Amateurs.

Gordon defeated Tweedmouth Amateurs 2-0 at the Five Arches, as they aim to lift their first Waddell Cup for 58 years.

In Division A, Chirnside United overcame basement team Newtown 4-0 despite being reduced to ten men.

Goals from Luke and Adam Turner, Daniel Pattenden and Michael Tweedie completed the scoring for United.

Hawick Waverley comfortably beat Stow 3-1 with Dean McColm, Scott Craig and Taylor Hope scoring for the Teries, who sit top of the league above Chirnside on goal difference, with a game in hand. Stow’s goal came from Michael Louth.

A Liam Lavery double means Hawick United won 3-2 at Greenlaw, leaving United likely to finish third in their first season back in Division A.

Tweeddale Rovers have all but secured their place in Division A after a 5-1 thrashing of Coldstream Amateurs.

Blair Meikle scored two, while Grant Wilson, Greig Shortreed and Blair Moffat also found the net to leave Coldstream facing relegation.

Sean Pringle scored two as Gala Hotspur kept in touch with the Division B promotion hopefuls after beating Earlston Rhymers 3-0.

Langholm Legion maintain their hold on second place by beating Linton Hotspur 3-2 as Brian Mattinson, Jake Little and Scott Collins found the net.

Sean Robertson scored after just 30 seconds but was then sent off for Duns Amateurs, who still managed to beat Leithen Rovers 2-0, and there were also wins for Kelso Thistle and St Boswells.

Des Sutherland scored a quadruple and Danny Bolton a hat-trick as Langlee Amateurs hammered Kelso Thistle 11-1 in Division C.

And Gala Fairydean Rovers gave themselves a real chance of also gaining promotion as Andrew Crawford, Fraser Jackson and Andrew Callow set up a 3-2 victory at Highfields United.
