Hawick probed by police

POLICE have confirmed they are investigating a complaint of match-fixing following a football game in the Borders.

Hawick Royal Albert lost the Scottish Cup clash with Huntly 7-0 on Saturday.

The draw for the second round of the Scottish Cup will take place on Wednesday at 11am.

Selkirk, Vale of Leithen, Edinburgh City and Civil Service Strollers join Spartans in the next round of the Scottish Cup. Whitehill Welfare may also progress after a replay at Wigtown and Bladnoch.

    The most suspicious thing about that game was how Hopeless Hawick managed to lose by only 7 goals...
