Amateur league roundup: United celebrate promotion

GALA United netted the biggest result in the club's history last week.

Michael Wright's side scored a 5-0 win over Yetholm at Netherdale to win promotion to Border Amateur League Division B.

Des Sutherland scored a hat-trick to add to strikes from Ryan Pringle and Darren Tweedie.

The club was only formed three years ago following the demise of the local pub league.

Chirnside Colts are already promoted after being crowned Division C champions.

Meanwhile, Leithen Rovers were crowned champions in Division A and Gordon were crowned champions in Division B - as predicted by our football pundit before the season kicked-off nine months ago.
