FORMER Berwick Rangers striker Steven Radzynski has been snapped up by Vale of Leithen.
And the Victoria Park side hope to have another former Shielfield Park player on their books over the weekend as Robbie Horn is currently in talks with manager Stewart Churchill.
The former Hearts and Forfar defender has been at Berwick since 2004 - but wants to make a move into coaching. It is believed he is being offered a player coach's role at the club.
The Innerleithen side have also signed Leith Athletic trio Chris Beaton, Jamie Lauder and Andy Milligan.
Vale secretary Alec Currie is delighted with the new players. He said: "We are pleased with the quality of players that Stewart is bringing in.
"We are hopeful Robbie Horn will join us as well. He has loads of experience and will be a great addition to our coaching staff."
The majority of Vale's promotion winning squad - including captain Mike Stewart, winger Andy Martin and midfield duo Darren Gillan and Paul Greenhill - have also signed new contracts for the forthcoming season.
Peebles manager Rab Linton has also been busy in the first few weeks of the close season.
Former Whitestone Park player Gareth Smith has agreed to return to his old club to help with coaching duties.
And amongst the players agreeing to attend pre-season training later this month are former Vale utility player Greg Shortreed and Ross Glass, who was with Gala fairydean for most of last season.
Manager Linton told us: "We are delighted Gareth is joining us and we may even try to convince him to pull his boots on from time to time.
"We have been round a few players already and we have a lot that are coming down to train. Most of last season's squad will also be down so we should have a good sized squad for this season. We're looking to do much better this season."
Pre-season training starts at Whitestone Park on June 29 - with home friendlies arranged against Linton Hotspur (July 17) and Alba Athletic (July 24).
Vale of Leithen will play regular pre-season opponents Kirriemuir Thistle on July 24 at Victoria Park and have an away weekend to face Shields United.
Meanwhile, Vale frontman Aaron Somerville is on his way to Alloa Athletic for pre-season training.
