A GALASHIELS Academy schoolgirl has been called up for the Scotland Women Under 16s football squad who are playing in a tournament in Portugal this week.
S4 pupil Morgan Turner, who plays for Hibs under 17s, was named in the final squad who face Spain, Holland and Germany in the UEFA Women's Under 16-Development Mini-Tournament.
The four-day event begins on Thursday, February 19, at Monte Gordo in the Algarve.
Morgan began her playing career at Tweedbank Thistle aged just four and came through the Gala Dean and Gala Fairydean Rovers pathway to earn a national call-up
