AFTER a lengthy lay off due to the weather, football is expected to return to the Borders this weekend.
Gala Fairydean are due to host Eyemouth United at the 3G Arena, Netherdale, Galashiels in the first round of the King Cup on Saturday, February, kick-off 2.30pm.
It will be a chance for Garry Fraser's team to regroup following a series of disappointing results in the league which has seen their promotion hopes decimated.
Meanwhile, at Yarrow Park, Selkirk tackle Duns in the East of Scotland League First Division, on Saturday, kick-off 2.30pm.
Elsewhere, Vale of Leithen, Peebles Rovers, and Coldstream have also been drawn at home in the cup, against Craigroyston, Heriot-Watt University and Tynecastle respectively, all kicking-off at 2pm. And Hawick Royal Albert travel to Edinburgh to face Spartans, kick-off 2.30pm.
