The great conditions saw some great sevens rugby produced and three different clubs lifting a trophy on the day.

The pick of the bunch from a Gala perspective was the victory of the Red Triangle S2 team who, after winning their pool then overcoming Melrose 19-12 in hard fought semi-final, produced their best performance of the day to blow away Biggar 58–0 in the final.

The performance of the GRT S1 team came a close second the S2’s. The Gala boys competing in a six team round robin where pipped into second place by Kelso on points difference, both teams winning four games and drawing 14-14 with each other. Of the other two Triangle teams, the U15s won their three pool games, but lost out to Kelso in the semi- final, who in turn lost to a slick Melrose in the final.

The U16 team also won their pool but were defeated by Biggar in the semi-final, with Melrose winning the final.

After another successful tournament, Gala Red Triangle would like to thank the support of all their sponsors, and in particular Five Star Taxis and Whitehill Coachworks.
