An unfortunate late withdrawal of the Berwickshire U13s left Peebles without opponents, but hosts Hawick saved the day, fielding a mixed U13 squad from different teams to provide a friendly challenge. Hawick A were delighted with their early win, their U13s storming to a victory over Earlston’s B team. However, Earlston A turned the tables in match 2 to run out 28 goals to 5 winners over Hawick’s B team.
Peebles U13s’ debut was all about smooth team play with fast and accurate moves and confident shooting contributing to their runaway win.
In the U15 section Hawick’s B team also produced a convincing win over Berwickshire B, with Peebles A and Peebles B teams both working hard to secure valuable wins against feisty Earlston and Hawick A squads.
