LEAGUE leaders Kelso suffered their first defeat of the campaign at Musselburgh.

Despite racking up some big scores from the crease in recent weeks the home team contained the Tweedsiders to just 115 runs all out.

The only bright spark with the bat for Kelso was Ben Grindell, who reached 49.

Kelso began well with the ball taking three wickets for the loss of only five runs.

But the Lewisvale Park club’s middle order quickly put the match to bed with a four wicket cushion.

Despite the defeat Kelso remain on top of the table.
