HAWICK emerged the winners of the Rowan Boland Memorial Under 12 Trophy on Sunday at Meigle Park.
The tournament was played between four sides – hosts Gala, Hawick, Melrose/Gala Select and Selkirk – with the young Teries winning all three of their games to reclaim the trophy, with Gala finishing runners up.
The Most Valued Player of the tournament was Liam Skeldon of Selkirk, who was recognised by the umpires for his overall contribution and efforts to encourage his team-mates.
Gala Cricket Club thanked Borders Railway for its sponsorship which allowed all the players to receive a certificate, food and drink, and also the medals for the top two sides. Rowan Boland Memorial Trust committee was also thanked for their support on the day, as well as the parents, players, umpires, scorers, groundsmen and The Trophy Guy.
