THE Scotland under-20 starting XV has four changes, all in the forward pack, for the side's World Rugby Under-20 Championship fifth place semi-final against Australia tomorrow (Monday 15 June, kick-off 3.30pm GMT).

Scotland under-20 recorded a 29-6 victory over their Argentine counterparts in the final game of the competition pool stages, contributing towards their third place finish in group C, and their eighth place seeding overall.

In seeding eighth in the competition, Scotland under-20 are now grouped with Australia, Ireland and Wales in the fifth to eighth to eighth play-off pool, and will play one of the latter two, depending on results, in their last tie of the Championship.

Irrespective of their final two results, Scotland under-20 will record their highest ever finish, of at least eighth place, in the World Rugby Under-20 Championship.

Head coach Sean Lineen said: "We've named a fairly settled side for what will be a very tough tie against a good Australia team.

"We were delighted with the result and display against Argentina, and it has set the benchmark for our final two ties.

"Although we are guaranteed our highest ever finish in the competition, we don't want to settle for eighth, and want to keep challenging and climb up the competition standings.

Prop Dan Elkington and hooker Ross Graham – who will make his first start of the campaign – come in to the starting side in place of Murray McCallum and Sam James.

Zander Fagerson retains his spot at tighthead prop and will join them in the front-row.

Andrew Davidson is promoted from the bench to partner Scott Cummings in the second-row.

Captain Jamie Ritchie returns to the starting side at openside flanker, with Lewis Wynne moving to the blindside and Magnus Bradbury continuing at number eight.

The starting backline remains from the defeat of Argentina with Ben Vellacott and Rory Hutchinson forming the half-back pairing.

Patrick Kelly and Alec Coombes will form the centre duo, with Richard Galloway and Robbie Nairn – both who scored against Argentina – retaining their spot on the left and right wing respectively.

Blair Kinghorn starts wearing the fifteen shirt.
