FORMER Melrose flanker Kelly Brown has announced he will leave Glasgow Warriers at the end of the season after signing for Saracens.
The 26-year-old international joined the Magners League side from the Border Reivers in 2007 and has gone onto make 55 appearances for the Warriors scoring five tries.
However, despite his impending switch to the Guinness Premiership in England, he revealed he is determined to leave on a high.
Brown said: "I've thoroughly enjoyed my time in Glasgow and will hopefully leave the club following their highest ever finish in the Magners League.
"I thank Sean Lineen and the coaching staff for their support over the past two seasons and look forward with excitement to the new challenges that lie ahead with Saracens."
Brown first represented Scotland at Under-16 level and made his international debut in 2005.
Praising his contribition, coach Sean Lineen said: "Kelly is in a rich vein of form at the moment and will be a loss to us. We had hoped to retain his services but understand his reasons for moving south.
"Even though Kelly is moving on, I know he'll give everything to help Glasgow win something this season.
"It's been a pleasure to work with him because he is a consummate professional and I wish him all the very best for the future."
