MELROSE centre/stand-off Craig Jackson and Aberdeen Grammar fullback/centre, Steve Aitken have been called up to the Scotland 7s squad for this weekend's IRB Sevens World Series event in Las Vegas, USA (February 13 & 14).

The duo replace Mike Adamson and Grant Anderson who retire with chest and ankle injuries respectively.

Aitken was a member of the Scotland U20 World Championship squad last season whilst Jackson, the cousin of Glasgow Warriors stand-off Ruaridh Jackson, is a Scotland U18 internationalist.

IRB USA Sevens, Pool C: Samoa, Kenya, Scotland, Chile:

Scotland 7s' Pool C fixtures on day one (Saturday 13 February) of the Emirates; Airline USA Sevens in Las Vegas (13 & 14 February); Samoa v Scotland, kick-off 12.28pm local time (8.28pm GMT); Kenya v Scotland, kick-off 3.36pm local time (11.36pm GMT); Scotland v Chile, kick-off 6.08pm local time (2.08am GMT on Sun 14 Feb).
