Gala must have fallen asleep on the bus because they were 19 points down before they got things going.
Accies got off to a flier with a converted try after five minutes and in the next ten minutes they scored another two tries with one converted for a 19 point lead.
Gala, at last, got it right when Grant Somerville crossed for their first try and Dean Keddie added the extras. Accies were having none of that and they scored an unconverted try to claim their bonus point.
Gala were really competing now and Gary Adams got their second try converted by Dean Keddie.
Before the break Gala closed the gap even more with Grant Somerville getting his second try and once again Dean Keddie converted to make it 26-21 at the interval.
Twelve minutes into a tight second half, Dean Keddie slotted a penalty goal but Accies struck back with an unconverted try.
On the 25 minute mark a second try from Gary Adams gave Gala their bonus point and Dean Keddie’s conversion levelled the scores.
With half an hour gone Iain Ross put Gala ahead for the first time with their fifth try. Dean Keddie converted and then kicked a penalty goal to give Gala a ten point cushion. With two minutes to go Accies got their sixth try which was converted but Gala managed hang on to the three point lead to the final whistle.
Man-of-the-Match this week went to Ben Murray. Next week Gala are at home to Boroughmuir.
