QFX will headline the biggest party in the Borders this weekend.

The old skool dance band, best known for hit single Freedom which topped the Scottish single charts in their heyday in the 90s, will perform at the Tait Hall in Kelso on Saturday (January 23).

And they will be supported by live acts Synergy, Becky Miller, Sub:System, who are all signed to Epidemic Records.

Also performing on the night, the first to be promoted by Noon events, are DJs Joe Deacon, Stevie Maher, Rob Technic, David Moralee and Grant Lyall.

Last year, the band, who regularly perform in front of thousands of revellers at some of the country's biggest raves, including Fantazia and Fantasylands, welcomed a new member to their line-up - former X Factor finalist Nikitta Angus - after vocalist Debbie Hudspeth announced she was leaving the band.

And they have gone on to achieve rave reviews following packed performances at the Town Hall in Hawick and the legendary Tunnels nightclub in Glasgow.

Back in the Borders this weekend, the party starts at the Tait Hall in Kelso on Saturday at 7pm and will go on until 1am. Tickets are priced £12 in advance or £14 on the door. A bus is running from Hawick to Kelso. For more information contact Lynsey on 07929338432.

Speaking on the band's page on social-networking site Bebo, Turnbull, founder member of the band, said: "We have been working hard on new material and that is the good news for all the fans who have been awaiting to hear a more up-to-date side of QFX."
