FRIGHTENED Rabbit made their first-ever national television performance in America this month - in front of more than two million viewers.
The Selkirk-born indie band were the musical guests on "Late Night With Jimmy Fallon" alongside Sex and the City star Kim Cattrall, who was on the show to promote her latest film - Sex and the City 2.
They performed their feverish kiss-off anthem, "Nothing Like You", from their latest album The Winter of Mixed Drinks, at the television company's studions in New York.
Their appearance followed their sold-out tour of North America and enhances their growing reputation at home and abroad.
Frightened Rabbit are now back home preparing for the band's biggest gigs to date.
This weekend they will support former chart-toppers Snow Patrol at Bellahouston Park in Glasgow.
That will be followed by stage slots at two of the UK's biggest music festivals - T in the Park and Glastonbury. They will also perform at Oxegen in Ireland, Hi Fi in Australia and Ibiza Rocks in Spain.
Meanwhile, Frightened Rabbit's lead singer Scott Hutchison has revealed he would like to become a professional rapper.
"Being the singer in a heartfelt indie band, it's difficult to express self-confidence without coming across as a right ****," he said.
"I've essentially forged a sort of career out of a certain brand of self deprecation, so to have the opportunity to go out on stage and scream about how magnificent I am would come as a refreshing change."
