BOWHILL House and Country Estate has announced an exciting revamp of its popular adventure playground ahead of the 2014 season.

Work has already started on phase one of the new playground which will offer a range of impressive attractions that will be ready for action when the Estate opens to visitors for the new season on April 5.

The new and improved adventure play area will be ready for its grand unveiling just in time for the Easter holidays, giving local children the perfect opportunity to get acquainted with the playground’s latest features.

Brand new equipment set to be installed in the coming weeks includes two exciting zip-wires which are longer than the playground’s previous offering, each spanning an impressive 30 metres in length.

Two embankment slides will replace the current ‘big slide’ and will be placed on platform towers connected with a fun rope bridge.  The new slides – one a 12-metre tunnel slide and the other an eight-metre-long open slide – will run down the banking towards the loch, all set against the majestic backdrop of Bowhill Country Estate.

As a send-off for the current playground and its popular slide - which has taken pride of place at the playground for decades – the Bowhill team are urging people to share snaps of fun times they’ve had on the treetop-high chute on Facebook, liking and tagging ‘Bowhill House & Country Estate.’ Bowhill’s three favourite photographs posted throughout February will each win a free season pass to the Estate.

Sarah Peat, Customer Services Manager at Bowhill, said: “We’re sure the new adventure playground is going to be a big hit with our regular visitors and as well as attracting some new ones too.

“It’s sad to say farewell to some of our old equipment but after more than 30 years on the Estate, it was time give it a revamp to ensure it brings enjoyment to the energetic youngsters we see at Bowhill for many more years to come.”
