BOWHILL is set to host a three-day Spring Fling extravaganza this weekend, with a range of family-friendly activities to encourage visitors to enjoy the great outdoors.

The event kicks off on Saturday, May 3 and continues until Monday, May 5, with activities running from 11am-4pm.

Young visitors can enjoy the chair ‘o’ plane ride in the Estate Courtyard for a small charge of £1.

Other activities include a self-led ‘welly trail’ around the Estate, messy crafts and lawn games on the Terraces.

Science workshops will also be held by Love Science, an organisation which teaches practical science to primary school age children, on Sunday and Monday from 11am – 3pm. Bowhill House will also be open during the event from 11am-4.30pm, with the last House tour taking place at 3.00pm.

Helen Currie, House and Events Manager at Bowhill said: “I’m hoping the Spring Fling is just that – a weekend of fun to welcome the new season and, with any luck, bring us some warmer weather.

“Everyone is welcome to enjoy the beautiful Bowhill Estate and make the most of the May long weekend.” Normal Estate entry prices apply: adults: £4.00, concession: £3.00, children (3-16 years): £3.00 and children under three go free. The ‘pay once’ scheme means visitors can enjoy the gardens, adventure playground and walks as many times as they wish throughout the season.
