DANCERS from the Ward School of Irish Dance, from Galashiels, will provide entertainment at the Melrose Rotary Autumn coffee morning this weekend. For the last two years Ward School dancers have provided a wonderful show at the Melrose Pipe Band Competition, and this year they have agreed to follow that with a performance at the coffee morning. The Ward School provides Irish dancing tuition for children from age four upwards and the more experienced dancers provide a very polished performance.

So for less than the normal cost of a cup of coffee a trip to the Corn Exchange, Melrose, from 10am to 11.30am on Saturday, October 4, will provide a coffee plus home bakes and the chance to watch a great show. Melrose Rotary will also provide a raffle and the normal, table sale of home bakes, books ect. All the money raised goes to Melrose Rotary charity to assist with the purchase of shelter boxes, these are self-contained boxes that can be given out immediately in emergencies and provide a family with shelter, means of cooking and sleeping and tools to help with re-construction. Melrose Rotary has provided a number of boxes for disaster relief and most recently to help refugee families caught up in the effects of conflict in the Middle East.
