He’s behind you will echo round Galashiels’ Volunteer Hall from next Tuesday (December 9) when Right Angle Theatre Company stages its annual pantomime.

And the audience will be transported around the globe as the Twelve Days of Christmas cast search for the keys of Christmas to unlock an advent calendar while baddie Schnitzel played by Julie Smith attempts to thwart their efforts.

It is scripted by professional stagewriter Alan Frayne, former entertainment director at Alton Towers, where he wrote and directed all productions over a six year period. He is now recognised as one of the most popular present day pantomime writers.

With over 27,500 professional and countless amateur performances of Alan’s scripts, his shows have delighted audiences as far afield as Bahrain, Beirut and Hong Kong.

Alan’s experience and originality has breathed new life into all the traditional pantomime favourites, together with several more unusual and original themes.

Watch our for several appearances by a well known character dressed in red and white as well as Gertie the dame played by Derek Calder, Stamp It - Gordon Keddie and Klamp It - Tracy Borthwick, Prince Rupert - Emma Wilson, Izzy - Jodie Miller, Susie - Amy Thomson and Amanda Blacklock as The Fairy Queen. You might even spot a camel as the action moves to Eygpt.

With twice a week rehearsals since August the cast are itching to tread the boards and shows, all at 7pm start on Tuesday December 9 running until Saturday December 13.
