COMBINE a knicker maker and a Braw Lass stir well and out pops a perfect pantomime.
Book now for Right Angle Theatre’s ‘Twelve Days of Christmas’ super slapstick show at Galashiels Volunteer Hall which puts many fully professional casts to shame.
The action at 7pm from tonight until Saturday is at times bawdy and at others sweet, primary children’s pirouettes alternating with the one of the most original 12 days of Christmas audience participation songs you will ever see.
It would be hard to go wrong with professional pantomime writer Alan Frayne’s rollicking basis for the script which Right Angle have cleverly adapted to Galashiels, even including the Border Telegraph in a scene.
Other local references include a clever side swipe at Borders General Hospital and of course the local political establishment at Scottish Borders Council.
Alan’s scripts have had more than 27,000 performances around the world gaining plaudits where ever they are staged.
Tickets priced at £8 are available from Fountain News, Market Place, Iain Smith and Partners, Overhaugh Street and Nobles Fish Shop in Bank Street.
