A GROUP of young designers from the Borders will strut their stuff on the catwalk in Galashiels next month.

Heriot-Watt University’s 3rd Year Fashion Technology students will stage a fashion show, with “individuality and a bit of mischief”, in the town’s Volunteer Hall on Friday, May 1, at 7.30pm.

Celebrating new talent and different ideas, it has been organised by the Illtricket Fashion Designer team, formed by Heriot-Watt 3rd Year Fashion Technology students themselves, to showcase their collections, that are not only fashionable, but technically exquisite.

The Fashion Technology course, based in Galashiels, is known for it’s hardworking students and ability to produce garments up to the industry standards.

The show features more than 20 designers with their collections as different as their personalities aimed for such high-street brands as Ted Baker and Reiss, made for both Spring/Summer and Autumn/Winter seasons.

It is the only time all 3rd year collections of this year will be shown and guests are invited to arrive at 7.30pm to enjoy a glass of champagne and a display last semester’s leather jacket designs, with the show starting at 8pm.

Tickets, priced £7 and £5, can be purchased online at: www.eventbrite.co.uk/e/illtricket-fashion-show-tickets-16387333957 The Illtricket team is currently running a discount campaign that allows buying the tickets with 20% discount when the code “Troll20” is entered at the checkout.
