THE whole community rallied together to celebrate St Boswells Village Week this year.

The fancy dress competition remains among the highlights of the event - despite the rain forcing it inside on Friday. The theme this year was London.

The night previous the village hall was packed out for Boswells Got Talent.

Kate Warner, chairperson of the Village Week committee, said: "We're a small community so everbody makes an effort and that's been the way with the whole village week, everybody has joined in with as much as they can do, and we had lots of events.

"The nice thing about Boswells Got Talent is it is mainly kids who perform but the money raised goes to the pensioners social club so all generations of the village were there and I think that's quite important because that doesn't happen very often now."
