SOME of the biggest names in the charts have performed sensational one-off gigs in the Borders this past year.
Scottish rockers Franz Ferdinand, Public Domain MC Mallorca Lee, Faithless vocalist Maxi Jazz, N-Trance singer Kelly Llorenna, Happy Mondays frontman Shaun Ryder and, well, even the lads from S Club 7 have all revelled in front of local crowds across the region in the last 12 months.
And many a Border Telegraph reader has been spotted jumping up and down on their pogo sticks in the front row.
However, this week we have tickets to give away for one gig to top the lot.
Radio 1 star Judge Jules, one of the world"s most famous DJs, will take a break from clubbing in Ibiza to headline a night of Hard Kandy at Move Music Venue in Overhaugh Street, Galashiels, on Saturday, July 4 – Indepen-'dance" Day.
He performed to more than 10,000 revellers at Coloursfest at the Braehead Arena near Glasgow earlier this month.
The Ministry of Sound regular will play two gigs in one night – Move in Galashiels and Velocity in Dunfermline. He last visited the Borders five years ago when he entertained a sell-out crowd with his brand of house/trance music at the Victoria Hall in Selkirk.
Clarkie Millar, aka Art Newman (Fantazia, Fantasylands and BTTF), who dreamt up the club nights while spinning records in the garage of his former home in Galashiels, will also play a set behind the decks alongside Robbie Riot (BCM Magaluf), DJ Horz from Hawick and Border Telegraph reporter Ally McGilvray.
To be in the draw to win a pair of tickets to the gig just answer the following question correctly: Judge Jules has a weekly Friday night show on which radio station?
Send your answers, along with your name, age and daytime telephone number, to: Judge Jules is coming to Gala!, Border Telegraph, 113 Channel Street, Galashiels, TD1 1BN; or e-mail amcgilvray@bordertelegraph.com
Entrants must be aged 18 or over and the deadline for entries is 9am on Monday, June 29.
Tickets for the gig, priced £11, are also available from Guess What in Gala, the Fleece in Selkirk and Spences in Hawick.
