A RECEPTIONIST from the Borders has been named among the final 30 contestants in The Scottish Sun's Miss Scotland 2010 competition.

Beautiful Billie Jones, from Newton Stewart, beat off competition from the thousands of hopefuls who entered, to make the cut.

She might be from a wee bit outside our patch but we thought we would lend her our support just so we had an excuse to upload her picture to our website.

Each day up the girls who have received the fewest amount of votes will be voted out of the competition until the final ten are revealed in The Scottish Sun on April 30.

The ten finalists will then go on to battle it out at the glitzy finale of The Scottish Sun Miss Scotland 2010 which will be hosted by fashion guru Gok Wan in Glasgow's George Square, as part of The Scottish Sun GLAM, on Saturday June 19.

Billie Jones said: "I'm so excited to get through to the final 30 and I'd love to become Miss Scotland and represent my country at Miss World 2010 - it's the chance of a life time."
