FRASER - Maie Weir (née Gilbert) November 16th 2019 in Walnut Creek, California. Wife to Grant, beloved mother to Lesley and David, grandmother to Robert, Katie and Claire. Lifelong teacher, adventurer and wry wit who touched the hearts of many. Deeply missed.

Maie was head teacher at Burgh School in Galashiels, a position she enjoyed and remembered fondly. She told me many stories of the school and the local events and characters. Here is a photo of her with one of the rosettes she kept.
