The Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 The Scottish Borders Council (Various Roads) (40 Mph Speed Limit) Order 2004 (Amendment No. 9) Order 2016
The Scottish Borders Council on 7 February 2017 in exercise of the powers conferred on them by Sections 84(1) and 84(2) and Part IV of Schedule 9 to the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 and of all other enabling powers and after consultation with the Chief Officer of Police in accordance with Part III of Schedule 9 to the said Act, made the above Order. The Order will come into operation on 13 February 2017.
The effect of the Order is as described in the Notice previously published in the Peeblesshire News on 28 October 2016.
A copy of the Order as made, with relevant map, may be inspected at Road Safety and Traffic Management, Assets and Infrastructure, Scottish Borders Council, Newtown St Boswells, Melrose, from Mondays to Thursdays between 8:45 am and 5:00 pm and on Fridays between 8:45 am and 3:45 pm. and also at the Council's Contact Centre at High Street, Peebles during normal working hours from 10/2/17 to 23/3/17 inclusive.
