Scottish Borders – the place to live and work The Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 The Scottish Borders Council (Disabled Persons’ Parking Places) Order 2015 (Amendment No 2) Order 2018
The Scottish Borders Council on 13 March 2018, in exercise of the powers conferred on them by Sections 32
and 35 and Part IV of Schedule 9 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 and of all other enabling powers and
after consultation with the Chief Officer of Police in accordance with Part III of Schedule 9 to said Act and
having complied with The Local Authorities’ Traffic Orders (Procedure) (Scotland) Regulations 1999, made
the above Order. The Order will come into operation on 19 March 2018.
The effect of the Order will be to make it an offence for anyone to park in marked disabled persons’ parking
places unless they are the holder of a valid disabled persons’ badge.
A copy of the Order as made, with relevant maps, may be inspected at the following locations during normal
opening hours:

Any person wishing to question the validity of the Order or of any of its provisions on the grounds that it is
not within the powers of the relevant enabling Act or that a requirement of any such enabling Act or of any
relevant regulations made thereunder has not been complied with may, within 6 weeks from 15 March 2018,
make application for the purpose to the Court of Session.

(Cuddyside, Peebles)
(Temporary Closing) Order 2018
The Scottish Borders Council have made the above Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation
Act 1984 as amended. The Order, which has a maximum duration of 18 months, will come into force on 19
March 2018 and is expected to remain in effect for a period of one day between the hours of 08:00 and 18:00.
The Order is required for manhole repairs.
When the Order comes into effect no person shall drive, or cause, or permit to be driven any vehicle along
Cuddyside, Peebles at Northgate Vennel.
The alternative route for northbound traffic is via Cuddyside, Bridgegate and Northgate to the point of closure.
There is no alternative route for southbound traffic.
Access for pedestrians and cyclists will be maintained with minor delays.

(D83/2 Glenkinnon Lodge, Clovenfords)
(Temporary Closing) Order 2018
The Scottish Borders Council have made the above Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation
Act 1984 as amended. The Order, which has a maximum duration of 18 months, will come into force on
18 March 2018 and is expected to remain in effect for a period of one day between the hours of 09:30
and 15:30. The Order is required for overhead line works for Openreach.
When the Order comes into effect no person shall drive, or cause, or permit to be driven any vehicle along the
D83/2 at Glenkinnon Lodge, Clovenfords.
The alternative route for eastbound traffic is via the D83/2, A707, A72, Caberston Road in Walkerburn, D80/1,
D83/1 and D83/2 to the point of closure, for westbound traffic the reverse of the foregoing.
Access for pedestrians and cyclists will be maintained with minor delays.
