THEATRE fans can enjoy two very different performances at Bowhill in November with John Nichol and MsFits Theatre Company set to grace its stage.

As revealed last week, written and performed by local actor John Nichol, Dr John Stewart Muir: The Beloved Doctor is based on the diaries of Dr Muir, who was medical officer for Selkirk and its surrounding parishes from 1874 to 1928.

Meanwhile, MsFits Theatre Company’s performance of Women on the Verge of a T Junction follows the story of what happens when three women from different generations and backgrounds bump into each other.

The funny yet poignant drama sees actress Fiona Knowles play the parts of all three women.

Helen Currie, house and events manager at Bowhill House, said: “These thrilling performances bring two superb genres to Bowhill’s theatre.

“Audiences can step back in time with a figure from Selkirk’s past or enjoy the witty and clever Women on the Verge of a T Junction.

“Both productions are set to provide a fantastic evening of entertainment at Bowhill.”

Dr John Stewart Muir: The Beloved Doctor comes to Bowhill’s theatre on Friday (November 3) at 7.30pm and Saturday (November 4) at 3pm.

Tickets cost £9 for adults and £7 for concessions (those aged over 60 or under 16).
