THE final rehearsals are over and the costumes have been fitted.

Now it's time to add some lights and some great music for this weekend's stunning performances from the Fiona Henderson School of Dance students.

Senior pupils from the Peebles-based dance school will hold their spectacular annual showcase on Saturday at the Eastgate Theatre.

Close to 50 talented young dancers from the school will display skill and technique in a wide variety of styles including tap, jazz, contemporary, ballet, Highland and Scottish national.

All of the dances have been specially choreographed for Saturday’s show.

And they will be performed to a music by a wide selection of music including Capercaillie, The Cure, Skippinish, Imagine Dragons, Robbie Williams, Deacon Blue and even Madness.

School principal Fiona Henderson told us: "This is always the highlight of the school year for the Fiona Henderson School of Dance and we’re really looking forward to performing this show which the pupils have been working on so hard in recent weeks to perfect."

Tickets are still available from the Eastgate Theatre box office on 01721 725777.
