REID Valerie Catherine Irving (Cardrona formerly Galashiels) Following the recent passing of my wife Val, Tony Reid and his family would like to thank everyone, whose very kind responses helped our family to deal with Val's loss. Those included all relations and friends who attended the Service of Thanksgiving on 29th July, either in person or by the live or recorded link, the staff of Wm Purves in Peebles who provided efficient, courteous and sympathetic support, and especially the staff at the Margaret Kerr Unit at Borders General Hospital, who were outstanding during Val's last days. We would also like to thank everyone who donated to the Margaret Kerr Unit either personally or by means of the retiral collection at the Service. Our sincere thanks are due also to Tony and Val's friend and former neighbour, Rev Barry Hughes, who conducted Val's Thanksgiving Service in such an uplifting and positive manner.
