FOUR members of the 1st Galashiels Boy’s Brigade were awarded a top honour during last week’s annual Display Night.
Parents and members of the company gathered in St Paul’s Church for Bruce Purves, Greg Kelly, Peter Glenfield and Michael Fox, to be presented with their Queen’s Badge, the highest award in the Boys Brigade.
The night was attended by a large congregation along with this year’s inspecting officer David Leckie.
After David had inspected all of the boys, each of the sections gave excellent displays, showcasing the activities they take part in on Friday evenings. In addition to the Queen’s Badge Awards, presentations and congratulations were made to all the boys who worked hard to attain their various badges throughout the year.
