A GALASHIELS man has been accused of threatening a police officer by saying he would find him when he was off-duty and stab him.
Thirty-four-year-old Darren Richardson, of Larchbank Street, appeared from custody at Selkirk Sheriff Court yesterday morning (Tuesday) when he pleaded not guilty.
He also denies behaving in a threatening or abusive manner by shouting and swearing at police officers and making offensive remarks.
The offences are alleged to have been committed in the Gala Park area of Galashiels on Monday afternoon.
A trial date was fixed for June 23 with an intermediate hearing on May 25 and Richardson was released on bail by Sheriff Peter Paterson.
