ON Saturday the Chairman Douglas Gunn and Secretary David Mitchell of the Royal and Ancient Burgh Ex-Standard Bearers Association travelled up to Perth to visit the Scottish Charity Air Ambulance centre.
The reason for their visit was to present a cheque for £400 from some of the monies raised at last September's Charities and Good Causes Rideout.
They also took time to go and visit the senior member of Selkirk Ex Standard Bearers Association Pat Wilson (SB 1955) at his home near Perth.
This year it is hoped that riders will come from all over the Scottish Borders and beyond to take part in the rideout once again, as they have done in previous years.
This year's Charities and Good Causes Rideout takes place on Sunday, September 4.
The ride will be from Selkirk to the Gordon Arms Hotel in the Yarrow Valley taking in some spectacular scenery and back to Selkirk.
Full details and entry forms for the rideout can be found on the Rideout Event Facebook page.
Last year the Association were able to give away over £2500 to various charities.
Following the Rideout there will be a social evening in Selkirk Conservative Club with entertainment - everyone is welcome.
