POLICE are appealing for information after a £19,000 car was stolen from a St Boswells garage.
A white Ford Focus RS was taken from Lawries Garage early yesterday morning.
A Police Scotland spokesperson said: "We are appealing for information following the theft of a high value car from Lawries Garage, St. Boswells at 02:30 hours on Thursday, October 13.
"A white Ford Focus RS, registration number SL59 HVF valued at £19,000 was stolen from the rear yard at the garage.
"The vehicle was driven north and has been identified as being in the Edinburgh area later that night.
"Anyone who saw anything suspicious around the time of the theft or may have seen this car being driven or has any information regarding this crime is asked to contact Police on 101 quoting incident number 2055 of 13/10/2016. Alternatively, call Crimestoppers confidentially on 0800 555 111."
