A BORDERS village has been on lock down over the past few days as filming for a £40 million blockbuster has taken place.
Security staff have been on duty at the only road leading into St Abbs as stars such as Scarlett Johansson, Chris Hemsworth and Mark Ruffalo filmed scenes for the latest Avengers movie, Infinity War.
The trio, who play Thor, Hulk and Black Widow, filmed several daytime scenes in the Berwickshire village.
A fake pub was created, the Cormorantatun, for the film.
Crews have been filming in Scotland since the middle of March, with shooting taking place on Edinburgh ’s Royal Mile, Cockburn Street and inside Waverley Station.
But at the weekend focus turned to the coastal village near Eyemouth.
St Abbs Visitor Centre has remained closed throughout yesterday and today.
