BORDERS MSP Rachael Hamilton welcomed Scottish Conservative leader Ruth Davidson to the region last week, to mark the opening of the new constituency office.

Last Monday, the member for Ettrick, Roxburgh and Berwickshire invited local constituents to witness the leader of the opposition at Holyrood cut the tape at her new base in Kelso.

And Ms Hamilton is delighted to have the new facility.

She said: “I’m really proud to open a constituency office in Kelso.

Although the office has been unofficially open for a while now and I and the team have followed up hundreds of issues brought to us, I’m glad the office is now officially open.

“I do urge anyone to get in touch no matter the issue, big or small. I and the team are here to help and will do our best to do so.

“It was also great to have Ruth Davidson help with the opening. The Scottish Conservatives under her leadership are making sure more people are heard across Scotland – and that is especially true here in the Borders.”

The office is located at 7 Abbey Court, and will be open on Mondays, Tuesdays and Fridays.

Walk ins are welcome, or constituents can also contact the office by telephone on 01573 224862, or email at
