AN INNERLEITHEN woman stitched up the opposition to win a craft competition on Kirstie Allsop’s Channel 4 TV show.
Becky Jones took home the trophy for the Best Christmas Stocking on Kirstie’s Handmade Christmas, which aired last week.
The 41-year-old beat three other contestants, two fellow Scots and one from Devon. Becky, who works as a marketing manager in Edinburgh, also runs a craft business, named ThreadyFox in her spare time.
She told us: “I’m delighted to have won the competition, and can finally reveal this to my friends and family, having kept this a secret since the show was filmed in Devon in October.
"We had five hours to make our stockings, so the pressure was on to impress Kirstie. I thoroughly enjoyed the experience.
"It was great to meet Kirstie Allsop, and I must confess that I did fangirl a little.
“She was so lovely with all four of us, and has a genuine love of craft.”
