This week, John Hart from the Biggar Ramblers Club, brings us the latest news on the group's recent countryside walks.
On Thursday, January 25, nine of the Biggar Ramblers met in the afternoon to do a short circular walk from Biggar to Hillridge Farm.
They were lucky with the weather as it had been very wet, but the sunny conditions prevailed.
The result of the previous rain and the recently melted snow made for some very muddy terrain.
The end of the walk was made through the Burn Braes which gave a good opportunity for the walkers to have a much needed boot clean in the ford.
This marked the last walk in the current programme but a new series of outings starts in February.
The programme is downloadable from the Biggar Ramblers website.
It is always good to see new faces, so if you spot a walk that you fancy coming along to, then do join us.
The Biggar Ramblers Club always meet before each walk outside the town's Corn Exchange.
