SELKIRK Rotarians have been in the Philippines this month to tie up a partnership working agreement.
Celebrating 113 years of Rotary worldwide, members from the Rotary Club of Selkirk signed the document with the President of the Rotary Club of Naga City.
The agreement was signed by both Selkirk Rotary President, Ferdous Ahmed and his Naga counterpart, Maryselle Olivan, to cement a partnership foundation for the future.
A visiting group of 15 Rotarians and their partners visited many humanitarian projects during their two week trip to Naga City.
And they have also helped with buying beds and mattresses for Queen of Peace children’s home.
They planted lemon and cashew trees during the opening of a new toilet block, partially funded by the Selkirk club, at Tinago Central School.
Members from Selkirk also helped break ground for a deep well, pump and storage tank project being funded in Tugawe.
