A NEWCASTLETON man has been banned from the road for 17 months after riding a motorcycle while more than three times the legal alcohol limit.
Colin Leslie of Stopford Street, was also fined £240 at Jedburgh Sheriff Court for the offence which happened on December 7.
The 54-year-old had a breath/alcohol count of 71 microgrammes - the legal limit being 22 - after riding the motorcycle near the Co-op store in the village at 11am on the day of the offence.
