A DEVELOPMENT company in Newtown St Boswells will be allowed to demolish a redundant factory and replace it with housing following an appeal to the Scottish Government.
Craigmount Properties were refused Planning Permission in Principle by Scottish Borders Council in January.
The plans to take down the former fabricator factory and build four houses at Elders Yard was judged to have contravened the local development plan.
But Reporter Philip Barton, following a site visit to the village, granted the appeal stating he could not see any reason why permission shouldn't be granted.
