A SERIAL thief from Galashiels has been hit in the pocket after admitting a string of offences around his hometown.
Alexander Watson of Croft Street, Galashiels, was fined £100 after he admitted stealing a rug at B&Q at Wilderhaugh, Galashiels, on January 31 last year, and bottles of perfume and a de-humidifier at Asda in Currie road on February 13 last year.
Watson was also fined £75 after he stole a quantity of alcohol from the Co-operative store in High Street, Selkirk, on January 31 last year.
He was fined a further £75, when he admitted stealing a quantity of food at Iceland, High Street, Galashiels, on February 6 last year, and a further £75 after stealing toiletries from Spar in Marigold Bank, Galashiels on the same date.
