Councillor Gordon Edgar, Scottish Borders Council’s executive member for roads and infrastructure, said: “We have tried to reduce the impact of the works by fully reopening Oxnam Road on Saturday, August 25, but would advise motorists to give themselves some more time during the closure.”

It is predominantly funded by an additional £1.8m investment announced as part of SBC’s budget in February.
