ALL things bright and beautiful were honoured on Saturday at the annual Gala in Bloom Awards.

Galashiels Community Council along with the town's Chamber of Trade held the presentation in the grounds of Old Gala House.

Judging for the various categories had yet again been difficult with the standard as high as ever.

Johnny Gray from the organising committee told us: "The annual awards acknowledge the outstanding quality of gardens attached to residential and commercial properties throughout the town.
