GALASHIELS Town Band hit the high notes during a special weekend performance at Galashiels Academy.
As well as a performance by the Town Band, the concert also included music from Galashiels Junior and Youth bands and guest appearances from three Academy pupils, Jess Thomson, Jenna McMillan and Benji Maybury.
Neal Wade, Band Chairman, said: “We were delighted that Jess, Jenna and Benji were able to join us. The Band seeks to encourage young musical talent in the town and they certainly showed that talent this evening.”
During the concert, the band were also presented with a set of winter waterproof jackets by Sheila Robertson of Gall Robertson CA.
Accepting the jackets, Iain Wilson, Band Treasurer said: “As the Band re-generation continues, we are taking on more outside engagements.
"With events like the Remembrance Service and Angel’s Wings coming up these jackets will allow us to look the part and stay warm and dry at the same time.”
